Berkeley Church and Field House

If you were walking down Queen street you could easily pass this by as just another old church in Toronto.  However, steps away on the other side of a rustic fence is one of my favourite event spaces.  From a photographers perspective it provides a myriad of beautiful locations to shoot.  To the bride and groom, much, much more.  Fantastic catering ( I mean REALLY good food ) and wonderful staff perfectly compliment this fantastic space.  Take a look at the pics to see for yourself.  Berkeley Events is definitely in my top 10 for best locations in Toronto to get married.

Sara and Scott’s Plan for Passion at the Arcadian Court…

Your right, most people can not say “plan for passion” and get away with it.  If you met Scott you would agree he most definitely can pull it off with flying colours.  More than likely due to the fact that his new bride’s smile lights up any room.  What a fantastic couple, if your looking for a benchmark for happiness – look no further.

Oliver & Bonacini’s renovated Arcadian Court looks fantastic.  Our last wedding there was over a year ago prior to the remodelling, I could not believe the changes.  O&B have become a force to be reckoned with in the Toronto wedding Venue scene.  Take a look a their website to see some of their other venues.   Hats off to the staff for another perfect wedding and even more so to their new look.  Definitely a highly recommended venue!

We had lots of other friends in attendance, Nancy from Calico Cat Video Productions and Jeremy Citron as the rock star officient he always is!  Thanks for a great day Sara and Scott.

Sarah and Craig’s Wedding at the St. James Cathedral and The St. Lawrence Hall

Sarah and Craig’s wedding took place  in their neighbourhood, everything was in walking distance, literally.  I started off with Sarah at the King Edward Hotel and took a few pictures of her getting ready.  As you can see in the pictures, she was a stunning bride.  We then walked down to the hall where her and Craig saw each other for the first time.  We took a few family pictures and then went out into the neighbourhood for a few pictures of just the bride and groom.  A cloudy day provided great lighting and Sarah was determined to get great pictures and ignored the freezing cold.. what a trooper.  The ceremony was held at the St. James Cathedral, following that the couple were piped down the street to the St. Lawrence Hall.  The meal the couple had chosen for their guests was one of my favourite this year!  Amazing!  I am still thinking about it.

Melissa and Graham’s Wedding at the King Edward Hotel

We started off with this couple at their downtown condo, immediately upon speaking with Melissa on her wedding day, I knew this was going to be a great day.  She was stunning even before she put her dress on, super casual, excited and relaxed at the same time.  Her sister comprised her bridal party of one – again – big plus in my books.  The two enjoyed champaign and laughs while I took candid pics. Once we were ready we headed off in the limo to the Bloor Street United Church.  One of Toronto’s beautiful old churches, stunning backdrop for the ceremony and a few great pictures following.  We then went down to area near the King Edward hotel where the reception took place and hoped around to a few favourite photo spots that Jenn I knew we could get in and out of easily regardless of the cold rain that had started to fall.  The second floor at the King Edward always makes for a great venue, lots of space in the foyer for a cocktail reception and a stunning venue for the rest of the evening.  I would like to make a special mention of the fantastic band that kept the party going.  The Sound Parade are fantastic, they can adjust the band size to suit your needs, were professional outgoing and above all they sound great!  I would happily recommend them to any of my customers.

Jude and Patrick Brown.. aka PB & J

There is outside the box and then there is taking the box and cutting it up into life size “special guests”  This ceremony was graced with the likes of Batman, John Wayne – even the rock bank Kiss.  These guests and more were witness to Jude’s bridal bouquets that were made around a real jar of craft peanut butter to accent the above acronym.  Patrick literally umped( with both feet ) into the Jewish faith  – see the pics for yourself.  I see weddings that are more and more unique.. it might be a long time before anyone outshines this dynamic duo and their creativity well done and thank you for reminding everyone that life is too short to take so seriously.  As well a special thanks from Sydney for the life size BATMAN!!!!!
